The Jo-Vek Tool & Die Story
Jo-Vek was founded in 1952 by Joseph Longo in the basement of his home. He quickly moved to a rent in the North End of Waterbury. In 1982, Joe and Frank (Joe’s son) purchased a 12,000 sq ft. building on Thomaston Ave. which at one time belonged to Chase Mfg. Together they helped build the business for over 40 years. Frank served as President until his retirement in 2011. Frank C. Longo and Paul DeLeo bought Jo-Vek, infusing the company with youth and technology. In November of 2016, they moved Jo-Vek to a fully renovated 23,000 sq ft. facility in Bristol, CT.
